The progressive growth in the use of outsourcing for the execution of its activities, combined with the increasing necessity for the permanent training of our collaborators, along with rising quality standards, systems know-how and higher levels of customer care, led to the creation, within the ambit of the Foundation, of the Energy Training Centre, in 2004.
The activities of the Centre aim to provide adequate training and preparation of the professionals new to the sector as well as to maintain and increase the level of permanent, ongoing training for experienced staff.
The lines of action are oriented towards complementing the formal training or the training which the sector has already developed, giving particular emphasis to sales, customer care, service quality, middle-management training, etc.
The activity carried out by the Energy Training Centre throughout 2010 has meant the development of 12 training programmes, with a total of 234 courses. These courses have been given in 34 different cities and have counted upon the participation of students of 14 Autonomous Communities in Spain. This means that a total of 50,496 hours of on-site training for a total of 3,421 professionals has been given, giving an average of 14.8 hours per student.
The actions have been oriented both towards incorporating new professionals in several sectors experiencing significant growth, as well as maintaining and increasing the level of training of the working professionals, in both cases ensuring their adequate training and preparation.
The lines of action are oriented towards complementing the formal training or the training which the sector has already developed, giving particular emphasis to customer care, service quality and middle-management training.
The pedagogic model employed uses a balanced combination between theoretical and practical training, with significant use of new technologies in order to ensure a rapid integration of the professionals once they are trained in the jobs in their corresponding companies.
